Security Latch™ For Double Panic Doors with ANY Type of Exit Device and NO Center Post between doors. “Flush Mount”

This clever door security device was designed to prevent panic doors from opening - without the need for locks or chains. But it is easily and quickly removed for immediate exit when needed. When installed, it protects people inside a room or building from break-ins or intrusions through panic doors. It’s perfect for schools, institutions, or commercial buildings. A simple and easy solution to a huge security problem.

Security Latches brace the doors with a cross arm of 14 gauge steel and legs of 1/4” x 1” steel.

Security Latches are covered in a 1/4” thickness of heat-treated Plastisol. It won’t scratch or mar your doors.

In this model of Security Latch, brackets are installed on the panic doors. The Security Latch slips into the mounting bracket when wanted. The legs wedge the Security Latch firmly in place in the brackets - preventing the door from opening.

This Security Latch can be tethered to the mounting bracket with a cable lock – so that the device does not wander off. The cable lock is NOT included in this model. It is included in model 5504-CL. Or the cable can be purchased separately – please see our part #5509.
